A Transportation Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2026, at 7pm. The meeting will be held at Homecrest Community Services Bensonhurst Center, 6915 15th Avenue.

At that time, the following will be discussed:

• Representatives the Department of Design and Construction and the Department of Transportation will present capital project HWKNUAV – New Utrecht Ave Safety Improvements and Roadway Repair. This project will enhance pedestrian safety on New Utrecht Ave and bring the roadway to a state of good repair from 65th Street to 77th Street. Safety treatments such as curb extensions, raised crosswalks, and pedestrian islands, will be constructed. The concrete roadway will be removed and replaced with asphalt.
